Leverless Tyre Changer

The FIT LINE FL44LL is a 24” Tyre changer (External clamping) incorporates many patented features making it a super high performance tabletop tyre changer.  Top of the features list is the leverless mounting head which removes the need for any levers during the tyre changing operation.

Instead of the traditional method of inserting a tyre lever to bring the bead up on to the mounting head, the head itself incorporates a deployable “finger”. Once in position and at the press of a button, the finger deploys and slides between the bead and the tyres rim.

The finger is then lifted, taking the tyre bead with it and manoeuvres it onto the mounting head. The turntable is then rotated to remove the top bead before carrying out the same procedure on the bottom bead.

Fitting the tyre is as per a conventional head with the use of the HTB24 Side assist arm.

The FL44LL Leverless tyre changer by Sice is a high-performance mid-range tyre changer with all the benefits of its bigger brother at a reduced price but not losing any of the high-end benefits.

HTB24 Assist Arm

The HTB24 right hand side assist arm is a patented bead lifting/pressing device to assist the operator, particularly on “difficult” low profile and run flat tyres. Specifically designed for the Fit Line range of equipment the HTB24 is a three-stage system, lower bead dish allows the lower bead to be lifted pneumatically and safely when the bead becomes stuck on the rim edge, this system eradicated the need for the technician to use the tyre lever to release a stuck bead which can be unsafe. Upper bead roller allows for the correct placement bead and the 3rd arm press moves around with the tyre allowing the technician to have a hands-off approach.

There are several different parts to the assist arm to help with the following.

• A helical device applied to the rotating arm is fitted with a pad and allows the operator to push the bead of the tyre into the wheel well without creating stress on the bead.
• Pneumatic wheel press cone for centring alloy wheel on the table
• The top roller assists in bead lubrication
• Rotating arm eases pressure on the bead during fitting
• Lower disc tyre bead removal.
